Located in Woods Square, Solo 1, a Grade A office development next to Woodlands MRT, the unit measures 517 square feet with a generous 5‑metre ceiling height. Previously occupied by an arts studio, the space arrived unrenovated, which primarily meant extensive cleaning of paint stains before work could begin. With no structural limitations, the envelope became an open canvas for a layered interior of Western European references interpreted for an agile, small-footprint office.

The plan is shaped by day-to-day rhythms of making and meeting. Seating capacity is maximized to support team growth, while privacy is preserved through clear zoning. A dedicated consultation area anchors the client experience, with materials either displayed for conversation or tucked away to reduce visual noise. Natural light steers the placement of the meeting area toward the windows, while samples live under the loft, keeping the working plane ordered and calm. A foyer was introduced to gracefully resolve the perennial shoe question at the threshold—small, thoughtful hospitality that sets the tone for visits.

Drawing on a recent trip, founder Jeremy notes, “I had just returned from London and Paris, inspired by both cities’ attention to detail, the use of bold colours, and the beautiful and carefully thought‑out moulding,” which is translated into a compact vertical volume: a tall, dark bookshelf leverages the 5‑metre height, while beading and a large‑format wallpaper articulate the 8‑by‑5‑metre wall above the work desk. The wallpaper—lush greenery and a fountain—nods to Singapore’s garden city identity and pairs deliberately with green stone, while rounded lighting elements counter the rectilinear joinery and stair, softening edges and lending a salon‑like glow after dusk.

The palette threads authentic luxury with approachable warmth. Prada Green Italian marble introduces a precise, crafted note at touchpoints, its saturated green pairing naturally with rich wood laminate that deepens the room’s sense of tactility. Clean white bouclé in the consultation area nods to Parisian softness, while a glossy terrazzo underfoot keeps the space lively and bright, echoing the veining of stone without tipping into nostalgia. A maroon wall grounds these elements with a personal accent, chosen for its affinity with the overall scheme and its ability to hold shadow and light with equal poise.

In keeping with the studio’s belief that quality does not always demand a premium, many pieces were sourced via Carousell. The cabinet by the window serves as a compact pantry, a solid timber round table near the stair stages rotating displays, and most wall art is pre-loved—each item adding narrative and patina.
