The project translates the characteristic elements of these historic settings, their alcoves, mineral surfaces and subdued atmosphere, into a contemporary interior language. A succession of geometric niches structures the compact plan, framing and showcasing the wine bottles in a display that recalls the deep recesses of old cellars.

Material contrast defines the room. Dark wood displays stand against textured walls whose irregular surfaces evoke raw stone, grounding the space in a sense of age and weight. At the centre, a sculptural table in Ice Blue granite anchors the composition, introducing a strong mineral presence that echoes the cellar references on the surrounding walls.

Softness enters through fabric curtains, which temper the harder surfaces and draw the space inward, creating a quiet, almost theatrical atmosphere of intimacy.

Working within a restrained palette of dark wood, textured surfaces, stone and fabric, the project shapes a secluded setting where materiality and light define the experience of wine, retreating from the city just outside its walls.
