Corner Light by There's Light

There’s Light introduced Corner Light—a cordless, limited‑edition table lamp—at Tate Modern’s Corner Bar during London Design Festival, 17–21 September 2025.

Conceived as an intimate extension of the studio’s architectural practice, the launch celebrated emotion, form, and collaboration.

Known for atmospheric, integrated lighting schemes, the London studio translated its signature approach into an object: a collectible, square‑form table lamp with cordless functionality. Corner Light featured a high‑quality brass base, a living material that patinated over time, lending depth to a compact, geometric profile suited to both hospitality and residential settings.

Designed by Fabio A P Cristini and Darran Prior, with contributions from James Perry and Gabriel Tam, the piece underscored the studio’s commitments to sustainability, material richness, and the emotive power of light. Until recently, There’s Light focused exclusively on commissioned projects across high‑end hospitality, residential, and commercial contexts. For Corner Light, the studio collaborated with NEOZ, the Sydney‑based pioneers of cordless lighting since 1995, whose elegantly engineered lamps have appeared in leading hotels, restaurants, and private homes worldwide.

The debut built on There’s Light’s earlier scheme for Corner Bar, completed in 2023. Drawing on 1970s street lighting, the surrounding cityscape, and cinematic references such as Blade Runner, the studio had developed a custom program of theoretical principles and bespoke luminaires—work that laid the groundwork for the product’s conception.

During the Festival, Corner Light appeared within a sculptural installation designed by There’s Light and produced with London‑based workshop Tristan Cochrane. Raw, hand‑formed structures foregrounded craft and material integrity, placing light and form in dialogue and inviting visitors to consider how illumination shaped mood and space.

To mark the studio’s first product to market, Corner Light was offered as a collector’s edition of 60 units, with online availability continuing beyond the launch. As Founding Director Fabio A P Cristini noted, the lamp completed the Corner Bar narrative for the studio—bringing a warm, intimate glow to the venue’s nighttime atmosphere.
