Veermakers Opens Its First Paris Showroom
Swedish design house Veermakers will open its first showroom in Paris this September, bringing its collection of handcrafted furniture, lighting and objects to the heart of Le Marais.
The new destination will bring together furniture, architecture and art within an intimate setting that reflects the brand’s Scandinavian heritage and enduring commitment to craftsmanship, materiality and timeless design.
Conceived as a meeting point between a design gallery and a private residence, the showroom will offer visitors the opportunity to experience the Veermakers collection in a more intimate setting. Open by appointment, it will welcome architects, interior designers, collectors and private clients to discover the brand’s furniture alongside bespoke interior elements and a programme of rotating exhibitions.
The Paris opening marks an important step in Veermakers’ international expansion.Founded in 2017 by Swedish interior designer Louise Liljencrantz together with K.F.K. Cabinet Makers and Kristin Rudenstam, the brand grew from a shared appreciation for exceptional cabinet making, considered materials and furniture made to endure. Today, Veermakers produces made-to-order furniture, lighting and objects, all designed by Liljencrantz and crafted by master cabinetmakers and skilled artisans in its workshops in Stockholm and Fiskars.
Craftsmanship remains central to the way each piece is conceived and produced. From the selection of timber and other materials to the final assembly, every stage is carried out with close attention to proportion, finish and detail. Traditional cabinet-making techniques are combined with contemporary precision, allowing the character of the materials and the integrity of each design to remain at the forefront.
The Paris showroom will bring together the majority of the Veermakers collection for the first time in one setting. Signature pieces including the SSU Coffee Table, MAR Dining Table, SKS Side Table and Strict Bar Stool will be presented alongside newer designs such as the Yoshino Wall Lamp, Hoovs Side Table, Reed Library Table and Pin Console Table. The collection will also introduce the Set Dining Chair, Veermakers’ first upholstered dining chair.
Several interior elements have been created specifically for the Paris showroom, including a custom-designed kitchen and built-in sofa. Developed exclusively for the new setting, these pieces extend the brand’s approach beyond individual furniture pieces to encompass complete interior environments, bringing architecture, furniture and craftsmanship into close dialogue.
Art will form another important part of the showroom. Veermakers will launch a rotating exhibition programme curated by Louise Liljencrantz, beginning with works by Swedish artist LG Lundberg. Born in 1938, Lundberg is known for his oil paintings depicting the Swedish archipelago, with works distinguished by their atmospheric landscapes, light and colour. His paintings will be presented alongside the Veermakers collection, introducing a distinctly Swedish perspective to the Paris interiors.
The inaugural exhibition will remain on view throughout the autumn, with the artworks available for purchase. Future exhibitions and new product launches will continue to shape the showroom as an evolving destination for Scandinavian design and art.
With its September opening, Veermakers will establish a new presence in Paris, bringing its distinctive approach to furniture and interiors to Le Marais. Rooted in Swedish and Finnish craftsmanship, the showroom will offer a considered setting for discovering pieces made with enduring materials, skilled hands and a belief in design that can remain relevant for generations.
