Private Investment office at Bank of America Tower by In-between Architects
Hong Kong studio In-between Architects has created a serene private investment office within Bank of America Tower, featuring organic textures, sunset hues and art-filled spaces that challenge traditional corporate aesthetics.
Located in Hong Kong's Central district with views of Victoria Harbour and Statue Square Garden, the office interior eschews conventional corporate design in favor of a more residential approach. "Space is like a canvas," explained the studio. "As designers, we strive to create a base that allows individuals to personalize their surroundings with cherished items, be it art or furniture."
The design team employed curved portals and carefully positioned art niches to define distinct zones within the lounge area, creating a harmonious flow between spaces while maintaining their individual functions. These architectural elements serve dual purposes – acting as both spatial dividers and display areas for the client's art collection.
In the gallery foyer, nature-inspired moss artworks by QUEST evoke intricate rainforest cutouts, establishing a biophilic connection that promotes mindfulness and tranquility. This careful curation of natural elements continues throughout the space, offering a calm respite from the urban intensity of Hong Kong's financial district.
The material palette combines sunset-toned finishes with pale wood, gradient carpets, and lime plaster, creating a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. A home-like pantry and flexible lounge area accommodate various functions, from casual meetings to formal events, reflecting the evolving nature of contemporary workplace design.
