Known for attracting the elite in design as well as tastemakers within the film, television, fashion industries, Pop Up Home, the premier destination for curated vintage furniture, decor and accessories, has reintroduced itself with the recent public opening of the new flagship store in the Melrose Hill district of Los Angeles, CA as of May 22nd and is sure to be one of the busiest neighbourhoods this year. Tricia Benitez Beanum, the Puerto Rican Founder and Creative Director behind Pop Up Home, is bringing a new and revived look to the brand and elevating everything Pop Up Home is beloved for in the form of a new retail space that’s bound to be the best vintage furniture and decor destination in Los Angeles.

With Pop Up Home’s new opening, shoppers and vintage enthusiasts can expect a newly renovated three-level storefront with 7,800 square feet of natural light, original neighboring exposed brick, and raw pine wood flooring throughout its perimeters. The cash wrap was designed by Jason Koharik and boasts a custom, one-of-a kind piece resembles block-towers made from carved wood hand-crafted with maker’s marks and lacking any attempt of disguise. Interior Designer and Wardrobe Stylist, Faith Blakeney, drew up initial design plans for the space and was the vision behind opening up the corridor between the gift shop and custom kitchen. Today, Pop Up Home is ready for its next phase of life, bringing the best in mid-century to post-modern pieces from around the world and breathing new life into the brand with a new logo, website and overall brand refresh to match, designed by Maddy Pease.

“This has been a long journey of transformation for Pop Up Home. From a warehouse with no sign, no real store hours, and traveling from place to place hosting activations and pop ups, we are finally at home. We have a place that we created and crafted exactly for our needs, our style and our community.” shares Tricia Benitez Beanum, Founder and Creative Director of Pop Up Home. “I’m looking forward to having a place of my own to create, curate, and gather from what feels like my point of view. I’ve always had to make do with what was given to me, and our new flagship location feels intentional in every way. My taste is ever changing and I believe this new collection is the best of what I’ve curated.”

Pop Up Home has always approached the vintage furniture world differently thanks to Tricia’s eye for juxtaposition, and it’s exactly because of this that the brand has gained a cult-following of elite designers, influencers and celebrities such as Tessa Thomson, Elaine Welteroth, Ryan Reynolds, Shea Mitchell, Vanessa Hudgens, Zendaya, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Bell, and Alexa Demi to name a few. Tricia’s ability to curate vintage finds is what kickstarted the brand, and never sticking to one aesthetic has been key. Visitors of the new flagship location can continue to expect eclectic design options for an array of styles. Ranging from antique, primitive, African, sculpture, ’60s to ’70s, and contemporary art by UNREPD - a gallery Co-Founded by Tricia as well as Sarah Mantilla Griffin that showcases contemporary art by emerging artists - where there will continue to be something for everyone, laid out in a new space where it all blends seamlessly.

The new Pop Up Home Flagship located at 642 North Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, 90004 is open for the public to enjoy starting on Monday, May 22nd for those who intend to find their next conversation piece or to simply admire the selection that has been so carefully curated.

Pop Up Home was dreamt up in 2009 by founder Tricia Benitez Beanum while she was becoming known for her exclusive estate sales. She wanted a place in which she could gather the best of the best from estate sales, flea markets and buyouts and place them in a pop up format exclusively for designers and in the know customers in LA. What started as a warehouse with no sign, and open only once a month, quickly grew into a full retail establishment, attracting designers and tastemakers all over the world.
