ORIGEN Offices by x arquitectos
The ORIGEN Offices are conceived as a perceptual workplace shaped through vision, movement and atmosphere.
Conceived by x arquitectos as a precise refurbishment, the project transforms an existing interior into a contemporary working environment revealed through a carefully connected sequence of rooms. Each area relates visually and sensorially to the next, forming an immersive setting where colour, light and materiality become the primary architectural tools.
A defined palette of warm, earthy tones establishes the foundation of the interior. These hues extend across walls, ceilings and built-in elements, creating a continuous visual language. Rather than serving as ornament, colour structures the environment, marking transitions and supporting different functions. This continuity brings cohesion and calm, softening separations between rooms and encouraging a fluid experience. Subtle tonal variations introduce depth while maintaining restraint.
Light plays an equally important role in shaping the atmosphere. Natural and artificial illumination are carefully calibrated to move gently across matte surfaces, revealing texture and reinforcing volume. Shadows remain soft, and contrasts are controlled to support focus and comfort throughout the day. Light also enhances the perception of colour, giving surfaces a tactile presence and reinforcing the sensory quality of the workplace.
The offices are organised to balance openness with privacy. Work areas and meeting rooms are connected through glass partitions and visual filters, allowing views to extend across the interior while maintaining discretion where needed. The coworking area is conceived as a flexible setting centred on shared use, encouraging interaction, collaboration and informal exchange. This arrangement supports different working styles and allows users to adapt the environment to their needs.
Material choices reinforce continuity. Seamless flooring, integrated joinery and clean surfaces form a neutral backdrop that allows colour and light to take prominence. Junctions and transitions are handled with care, maintaining visual clarity and avoiding unnecessary interruption. Every detail contributes to a cohesive experience guided by both function and perception.
Together, the offices and coworking areas form a unified workplace ecosystem focused on well-being and concentration. The project moves away from conventional office formulas in favour of a calmer and more enduring approach, where colour, light and material presence work together in quiet harmony. The interior encourages occupation through comfort and clarity, supporting both individual focus and collective engagement.
