The design philosophy goes beyond mere visual aesthetics and takes into account the structural, scenographic, and environmental aspects of the space to create a natural and comfortable atmosphere that reflects the attitude of living true to an ideal. The space is an expression and sharing of the ideal life vision.
The design of a medical space is always a balancing act. On the one hand, it must be professional and efficient, while on the other, it must provide a warm atmosphere and a quiet space to soothe the soul. The Goodwill Dental office successfully achieves both, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that provides professional medical services.
The use of large areas of earthy warm textured fabrics in the space creates a sense of envelopment, while the rustic wood grain adds to the space's aesthetic appeal, and the regional light sources calm the atmosphere and emotions, bringing out the sense of ritual in the medical space.
The entrance and waiting space are the core of the entire space. Soft geometric lines, gentle light, high scale settings, and warm materials combine to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that guides exploration into the interior of the space. The space gradually changes from public to private with the corridor, and the atmosphere is transformed by the indirect projection of daylight. The space is reorganised through the corridor, and the light flows overhead through the curved shape of the ceiling gradient, leaving light, shadow, and rhythm.
The space on the 2nd floor uses the simplest forms, elements, and colours to shape the atmosphere of the space, highlighting the relationship between light and shadow, scenery and people, and space. The simplest materials are used to shape the space, through the contrast of different materials, textures, and hierarchies of space. Through time and the creation of sculpted voids and volumes, geometric shapes, lines, and loops, along with rustic materials, the space achieves a serene and warm atmosphere, creating a calm, soothing, and even healing environment.
The space on the 3rd floor is intended to create a unique spatial atmosphere for the dental clinic and to give value and meaning to the space. This concept is expressed in the geometry of curved lines and surfaces, resulting in the most recognisable semi-circular arch in the space. The combination of eco-friendly mineral paint from Denmark and solid wood creates a textured texture, which in turn creates a sincere and intimate spatial atmosphere. The delicate finishes are accompanied by clear and simple geometric shapes, and the tranquil atmosphere flows in the space, making the beauty of life within reach.
